Vertical Wind Turbine

Have you heard of the tycoon T. Boone Pickens? He is the Billionaire that is proposing to produce millions of mega watts of electricity by building uno-neumero vertical wind turbines across the Texas and North Dakota corridor.

In a telephone interview he stated that whether the cost of crude was at $120 or $150 a barrel it didn't make any difference because we are importing way to much oil anyway.

Pickens is continuing his plans to spend billions to build vertical wind turbines and transmission lines to tap the energy of wind and convert it to electricity. He also plans on using solar power in the Southwest to do the same.

This would allow the conversion of cars from using gasoline produced from oil to using natural gas to run peoples vehicles. That would reduce our dependence on imported oil and allow us more control of our energy consumption.

Another of his ideas is to do more drilling in the US to find new supplies of oil. Now that oil prices have moved down a little and it appears that they will move down more, people may start thinking that our energy crisis is over but Perkins doubts that it will get below $100 a barrel.

I know you are wondering what all this has to do with you. Well it has to do with the fact that if a billionaire is willing to invest billions in producing millions of mega watts of electrical power from solar and wind energy it may be a wise investment for you to build your own vertical home wind turbine.

You can build one yourself as a home project or you can have a company build one for you. It is your decision just know that you can build your own vertical wind turbine for less that $150. With the right plans it is easy and can be fun and very satisfying also.

The cost of energy is going to continue rise over time and there is nothing we can do about it, or is there. Maybe there is. Whether Pickens is right or not doesn't matter, you can start can start creating renewable power that is clean and pollution free right in your own back yard, or maybe on your roof.

Your first vertical wind turbine will not power all your appliances but it will be a start and it will save you money on your electrical bill. By adding solar panels for your homes to the energy of wind you have a combination that could produce all the renewable energy it would take to run everything in your home.
